Camera way points for smoother video

Can you implement an option to set waypoints in the camera mode? That way it could generate a much smoother video and fly through of the map. At the moment when I do a video it's pretty jerky as I'm either zooming too fast or not panning quickly enough, with the end result feeling pretty unsatisfying.
