Carpet/Rugs as Floor Tiles

Currently we have wood, stone, tile and metal as options for creating floors. And we have some carpets and rugs that we can put on the floors. But it might be neat to have the option for carpet/rugs to be a floor type, along with wood, stone, etc. so that the whole room, has a carpet/rug texture for the floor.
