Object grouping for ease of advanced structure building

Hi I have an idea, to create something that is resembling features in graphic editors such as GIMP or PhotoShop, when you can select multiple items (such as free standing walls/half walls etc) and group them into 1 "layer" group, so you are creating your own advanced structure, that you can copy and paste without need to rebuild custom created structures from scratch in another place where its needed.

I think that could be a cool feature :)
