Parallel drawing tool

When drawing roads, adding wheel tracks with a parallel drawing tool would be great. Suggested features:
1) Option to select number of lines.
2) Option to select width in squares.
Maybe it could also work as a path tool, allowing one to lock on previously drawn paths. Otherwise, it should work as the regular drawing tool.
