Select colors when using paint feature to place decorations

It would be nice to be able to select colors for objects when using the paint feature for objects that can be painted. For example, if I wanted to place a bunch of blue crystals I would have to either place them individually or use the paint feature to place a bunch of them and then go back to change their colors. I think this would be a nice little quality of life feature.
