Settings not working

I do NOT know if this is true for all of the settings but when I tried to make a castle's entrance I only wanted the walls and nothing else made. So I turned off everything except the walls and I got various items thrown in. Torches once, some kind of wooden thing, doors, windows, etc…. Just thought you should know.
