The flower and fruit challenge

It would be an extraordinary feature if flowers could be toggled between day and night mode.. as to follow the direction the sun shines from and to "close up" at night. (ideally there would be a toggle option on each flower so as to have exceptions/midnight flowers)… it's definitely a challenge to do, but I don't think I have ever seen that feature implemented anywhere.
likewise, certain tree shapes lend themselves to being fruit trees and being planted in an orchard.. it would be nice to be able to "toggle up" some fruits on trees that look appropriate to that purpose..
it would massively enhance the feel of a seasonal map.
