Functionality to allow user to line up the edges of multiple maps to create a quilt of continuous map, e.g. 9 100x100 maps could be linked for an overall 300x300 map. For performance, only one of the component maps would be active/editable at any given moment while the others would only be viewable in a top-down static (no dynamic lighting etc.) manner. So the user could see the 'whole' map but only in a top-down rendered static form, then could choose one of the maps to edit and when done the map would be rerendered static so it could be viewable again. This would allow for almost unlimited maps without running into the performance bottleneck of loading massive maps with dynamic lighting and editability.
